5-4-3-2-1-Lights!
That’s right; we had our very own tree lighting celebration! It was:
Christmas in Ole Christoval New York style!
Thank you to everyone who came out to the Christmas celebration in the park.
It was delightful! The evening began with a children’s musical
hosted by the Christoval Baptist church. The children were precious.
They did a fantastic job telling the story of Jesus’ birth and how it
all happened in the country. Hats off to those who helped with the musical.
Following the musical, everyone walked to the park to enjoy more festivities. We counted down and lit up the park and community Christmas tree with well over 150 spectators. The tree was decorated with ornaments made by our kiddos from many different organizations.
They are awesome. Everyone enjoyed hot chocolate, s’mores, hay rides and certainly visiting with Santa Claus.
What a great turnout we had.
A special Thanks to Shawn and Jodie Uptergrove, Morris and Ann Custer, Sherri Hodges, Marijha Jernigan, Vanessa, Kelly Stultz, Mike O’Conner, Shane Hill, Max Jacobs, Dee Dee Buckingham and Concho Christmas Tree Farm for their help in making this event happen.
